Smoked butter was a new one on us and we're weren't quite sure what to think at first, but wow when we tried it we were blown away. Perfect on hot toast, a crumpet or corn on the cob, but if that's doesn't grab you then try it mashed into potato or melted over hot new potatoes. We promise you this is going to be your new favourite.
Allison and Will Abernethy inherited their butter making skills from previous family generations and in 2005 decided to turn their hobby into a business. Initially going to local agricultural and vintage shows to demonstrate how cream is churned and turned into butter, they soon realised there was a demand for their product.
Abernethy Butter is handmade using cream local to their dairy in Co. Down, Northern Ireland. lovingly churned and patted into rolls, to give a luxurious creamy taste.
