DCL Craftbake Traditional + Yeast achieves a perfect balance between superb flavour development and totally consistent performance. Whilst originally developed for traditional retarded dough and longer final proof time processes, DCL Traditional + Compressed Yeast has also been found to be ideal for part baked and frozen doughs.
Presented in a form of extruded blocks, compressed yeast has many advantages, it is very easy to use, it crumbles directly into the mixer and lends itself to a wide variety of applications. Its compact shape limits contact with oxygen from the air, which helps to prolong its shelf life.
Suitable for home baking, simply use twice as much as you'd normally use of dried yeast.

Can be frozen, however it reduces its potency and can turn runny when defrosted.
