Made from scratch by us, rich hot water crust pastry encases coarsely ground local rare breed pork, seasoned with salt, white pepper, nutmeg and mace. This simple seasoning doesn't contain a cure so results in a traditional grey meat center.
They are a more open texture compared to mass produced pies, but being made to a 100 year old Lincolnshire farmhouse recipe they are like a good old fashioned pie used to be.
They make a fantastic addition to a cold meat platter, picnic or are delicious simply cut up and enjoyed with a glass of wine.
